Course Objectives:
Following attendance at this educational activity, participants should be able to:

•Apply updated information to the understanding of C. difficile and other infections of the gastrointestinal tract
•Improve understanding of common and uncommon skin and soft-tissue infections
•Apply evidence-based information to the management of selected infections encountered in office practice
•Update understanding of this sometimes perplexing syndrome and apply it to the clinical setting
•Summarize recent guidelines regarding current management of patients with CAP
•Review the current status of antibiotic resistance, including VRE and MRSA
