Description of Conference: Food Career Event is organised together with Bio Career Event and Chemistry Career Event under the name BCF Event.
Over five years have passed since the first BCF Event took place. In this time both the number of visitors and exhibitors have tripled. But how did it come this far? Haifen Hu, initiator of Bio Career Event, explains: “When I studied Biotechnology, I noticed that it was difficult to get information on the job market. I knew the multinationals and received enough information on PhD-positions, but that was it. I visited the National Career Fair, but this was too broad. The people I spoke to there weren’t scientists.”
During her work at BioPartner, Haifen Hu saw that a lot of small and medium sized enterprises were founded in Life Sciences. She also had a lot of contact with starting entrepreneurs. Through these contacts she got inspired to start her own company, hyphen projects, to organize events.
