Description of Conference: The Waterloo Aviation Expo & Air Show is produced by the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre.
Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre was established in 1932 as a non-profit organization. WWFC was originally known as K-W Flying Club with an “old grass strip” on Lexington Road in Waterloo.
Currently, WWFC is one of the top five flight schools in Canada. Sixty percent of WWFC’s students are training for professional aviation careers and attend Connestoga College and the University of Waterloo. With 28 aircraft in its fleet, WWFC is well equipped to offer training for those looking to get all licence’s from recreational to IFR.
The Waterloo Airshow and Aviation Expo has been running for 2 years with guests coming out each summer to explore the displays and exhibits, and discover military and civilian aviation up close. Last year in 2009, we decided to add an air show component, bringing the event to a whole new level of entertainment.
