Description of Conference: There has been a significant growth of interest in recent years in the development of a LNG sector in Queensland based on processing the extensive CSG reserves in the State's southern basins. As the CSG-LNG sector presents both opportunities and challenges for the State, the Queensland and Federal Governments have been working with industry and local communities to formulate comprehensive and mutually beneficial policy responses to address the emergence of this new energy sector. Most significantly, this new sector will see exponential growth in the infrastructure and logistics surrounding the acquisition of CSG and its transportation to LNG processing plants in the Gladstone region.
The inaugural Queensland Gas Assets and Pipeline Infrastructure (QGAPI) conference will be a unique event focusing on the execution of infrastructure and logistics for Queensland’s burgeoning CSG-LNG industry. The sector will be broken into three distinct fields covering the three stages of LNG development, from the sourcing and construction of wells to the dredging of Curtis Island Harbour.
The QGAPI conference is part of IIR's highly regarded Australian Gas Series, which encompasses events including: Queensland LNG; SEAAOC and NT Resource Week; CSG Drilling and Completion; CSG Water; the CSG Summit & Shale Gas Briefing; and Gladstone Resource Industry Update.
