Description of Conference: SMIT, the Society for Medical Innovation and Technology is the only multi-disciplinary organization that is focused on new technologies in medicine. The organization has active members from various fields of interventional medicine, such as minimally invasive surgery, cardiology and cardiac surgery, interventional radiology, MRI and related fields, as well as researchers from faculties of biomedical engineering, computer sciences, robotics and industrial design. Academic, Clinical and Commercial topics will be addressed at the Conference, in an effort to present the latest knowledge available in the various fields. The Conference will be held in conjunction with the 14th Israeli Symposium on Computer-Aided Surgery, Medical Robotics and Medical Imaging (ISRACAS 2011).
