Description of Conference: The African Development Bank is pleased to announce the organisation of the 1st international Africa Public Private partnership Conference focusing on the Energy, Infrastructure & Transport sectors.
The conference will take place in Tunis from 1st-2nd December 2009 at the Ramada Plaza Tunis, Republic of Tunisia. The event will be organised in collaboration with AME Trade Ltd, United Kingdom.
Public Private Partnership Africa Conference will provide a platform for all stake holders to promote infrastructure development, examine challenges and opportunities in the Energy, transport, and infrastructure sectors in Africa.
Building on the experience of PPPs in parts of Africa and other countries the event will examine the underlying principals needed to establish legal, political and economic framework to implement such initiative.
The conference will provide definitive platform for senior industry representative, ministerial advisors, legal advisors, financial sponsors, and other professionals interested in initiating PPP projects with governments to gain unparalled source of hard information to enhance understanding, share knowledge and experiences and to promote future PPP projects.
In addition the Conference will provide strategic economic analysis, sectoral analysis, finance options insights, legal/political constraints, country by country analysis, capacity building, risk management issues and will feature a technical field trip to an Infrastructure PPP project in Tunis.
The main theme of the conference is “Implementation of Government policies through public private partnerships in Africa”.
