Description of Conference: Europort 2009 is without question the most diverse international maritime exhibition. From 3 to 6 November 2009 professionals and representatives of leading maritime companies meet in one of the largest ports of the world - Rotterdam. All sectors of the maritime industry, from inland navigation to sea shipping, from naval to dredging and from fishery to offshore, are brought together in Ahoy Rotterdam. Europort is truly connecting you with the maritime world.
The Europort exhibition once started as a maritime exposition in the port area of Rotterdam. After a couple editions the exhibition was held in Amsterdam. The exhibition became a high-quality international event.
25 Years ago a new exhibition for inland shipping and fishery was introduced as Port & Inlandshipping, later being named Inland Shipping & Fishery (BiVi) and after this positioned as Rotterdam Maritime.
Over the last years the possibilities for a partnership between Europort and Rotterdam Maritime were sorted out. This happened on the explicit request of maritime trade organisations, like Holland Marine Equipment. In the end Ahoy Rotterdam took over Europort and combined Europort and Rotterdam Maritime to one new maritime event: Europort Maritime.
After 2004 the exhibition has been organised twice as Europort Maritime. Because of national and international developments, like the successive export of the exhibition concept to countries as Qatar, Romania and Turkey and the extended international network of sales representatives, the organisation decided to name the exhibition Europort again from 2009 onward.
