Description of Conference: The third international meeting of The Special Interest Group on Neuropathic Pain (NeuPSIG), of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). The scientific program is designed to meet the aims of NeuPSIG, which are "to advance the understanding of mechanisms, assessment, prevention and treatment of neuropathic pain"; it will consist of plenary sessions, topical workshops and poster presentations. This third congress in the series should yet again prove to be an important milestone for basic scientists, clinical scientists and practicing health care workers from all disciplines with an interest in furthering the understanding and care of patients with neuropathic pain.
