Come to New York City on the weekend of February 27, 2010 for ASGA's annual "New York City Student Government Training Conference." Explore Times Square, catch a Broadway show, and sample New York's world-famous cuisine, all while improving your Student Government!
Any SG leader from any school, no matter what state you're from, is welcome to attend!
The 2010 "New York City Student Government Training Conference" features:
• Intensive and interactive workshops designed to address specific needs and solutions for all types of Student Governments
• Passionate presenters. The most experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate presenters in the nation who will help you get the most out of your term as an SG officer, member, or advisor
• Networking opportunities with SG officers and advisors throughout the entire nation
• Workshops and presentations that also directly apply to advisors and administrators
• A keynote address entitled “How Important is Student Government?"
What is the cost?
$199 for ASGA members ($100 off!), and $299 for non-members (Register by December 18, 2009, to get these early-bird rates). There are discounts for registering more students.
What will be the total attendance?
Attendance will be limited to 275 SG leaders and advisors. The 2008 event hosted 248 attendees from 37 schools in 20 states.
What’s included in the registration fee?
The fee includes admission to all workshops and presentations, extensive hand-outs, a boxed lunch (sandwich, chips, salad, cookie, soda/water), a continental breakfast, and complimentary drinks and snacks, an ASGA t-shirt from campusTshirts.com, a 10% discount on ASGA membership, 35% discount on in-person consulting, and one-hour private consultations by appointment only. Dinner, travel and airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation to and from the conference location, and incidentals are not included.
Where will the event be held?
The conference will be held on the beautiful campus of Pace University in downtown Manhattan. Pace's Student Government Association is a member of ASGA.
